About This Opportunity
Want to be part of the magic at the 8th Annual Downtown Whitby Christmas Market?
We're looking for adult volunteers to help create a festive, welcoming, and memorable experience for visitors throughout the event. Volunteers may be assigned to one of several activity areas, including the Maple Taffy Station, event entrances, Santa Photo Booth, or Kids' Activity Area.
As a volunteer, you'll play an important role in helping activities run smoothly and ensuring guests have a wonderful time at the market.
Main Duties May Include
Greeting and welcoming visitors
Helping manage lines and crowd flow
Assisting with children's activities and family programming
Providing information and directions to attendees
Supporting activity stations and event staff as needed
Helping keep event areas organized, safe, and inviting
No previous experience is required. We simply ask that volunteers are friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic about helping create a positive community event experience!

More Information About The Christmas Market
When: Friday, November 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Whitby Public Library - Celebration Square (405 Dundas Street West, Whitby, ON)
Volunteer Shifts
Volunteers can sign up for one of the following shifts:
Friday, November 13
- 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (5-hour shift)
Saturday, November 14
- 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (5-hour shift)
- 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (5-hour shift)
When registering, volunteers will be asked to indicate their preferred shift and activity area. Opportunities are available at the
Maple Taffy Station, event entrances, Santa Photo Booth, and Kids' Activity Area. Volunteer assignments will be confirmed closer to the event date based on event needs and volunteer availability.
