Job Description
Overview
Responsible for developing, implementing and integrating the major construction support programs required to execute Monark-D safely, efficiently and predictably. The role establishes the frameworks, processes and execution plans for site logistics, material flow, equipment management, workforce logistics, construction support infrastructure and field operations planning during detailed design and project execution. Working with Engineering, Supply Chain, construction partners, Project Controls and site management, the role ensures that construction-readiness requirements are defined early and incorporated into project planning, design decisions, schedule development and procurement strategies.
The role leads site logistics planning, materials-management strategies, laydown and storage concepts, heavy-lift and crane programs, temporary facilities planning, site access and workforce movement strategies, traffic management, construction support services and equipment-utilization planning. It identifies constraints, optimizes site use, reduces congestion and ensures the site can safely support peak construction while maintaining productivity and nuclear quality standards.
Your role
- Develop and implement the overall site logistics and construction support strategy.
- Lead planning for material receipt, storage, preservation, inventory control and field distribution.
- Develop crane utilization, heavy-lift, rigging and equipment-movement strategies.
- Establish workforce logistics plans, including access, parking, transportation, welfare facilities and accommodation requirements.
- Define laydown areas, warehousing, temporary construction facilities and site-utilization plans.
- Coordinate construction-support requirements with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Controls and construction partners.
- Identify site constraints and develop mitigation plans for peak construction periods.
- Provide sequencing and logistics inputs to the integrated schedule.
- Develop site-readiness, mobilization and construction-execution planning strategies.
- Ensure construction programs support nuclear safety, quality, security and regulatory requirements.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in construction management, engineering, logistics, supply chain, industrial management or a related discipline. Qualifications in project management, materials management, heavy lifting and rigging, occupational health and safety, or construction logistics are assets.
- Typically 12–15+ years of progressive construction experience on large, complex industrial, nuclear, power, infrastructure or megaproject sites, including responsibility for construction support programs and site readiness.
- Demonstrated experience with integrated site logistics, materials management and mobilization plans; site access and traffic flow; laydown, warehousing and temporary facilities; workforce movement; material receipt and distribution; equipment utilization; and coordination of oversized or critical components.
- Working knowledge of nuclear safety culture, quality assurance, security, configuration control, environmental requirements and regulatory expectations is strongly preferred.
- Ability to coordinate contractors and functional teams, optimize competing site demands, manage constraints and present practical recommendations to project and site leadership.
