Join a collaborative teaching practice in Markham, working alongside experienced physicians and interprofessional mentors while contributing to the education and development of the next generation of primary care clinicians.
Why this role
Health for All is an academic Family Health Team affiliated with the University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM): we deliver comprehensive primary care to our community while teaching medical students, residents and interprofessional learners. Our physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and dietitians work as one team, and our Physician Assistants are full members of it.
As our PA, you will:
• Expand access. Carry a steady schedule of same-day, episodic and chronic disease visits, helping patients get care sooner.
• Build continuity. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care, chronic disease management, and improved patient health outcomes.
• Teach and learn. Precept learners, join academic half-days and rounds, and take part in quality improvement and research.
• Shape how care is delivered. Help design the medical directives, pathways and programs that define the PA role in our team.
What you will do
You will work under the supervision of our family physicians, within delegation and medical directives that fit your competencies and CPSO requirements.
