Corporate Accountant

Are you an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, analyzing financial results, and taking ownership of a variety of accounting responsibilities?
We are seeking a Corporate Accountant to join a growing organization and work closely with the Finance Manager. This role offers exposure to full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow management, consolidations, and investment reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on accounting role, thrives in a multi-entity environment, and is looking to continue developing their technical and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting activities and support the month-end close process.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Assist with intercompany transactions and multi-entity consolidations.
- Support forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Prepare investment reports and perform related reconciliations.
- Prepare and support HST filings and reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and identify unusual transactions.
- Assist with process improvements and reporting efficiencies.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and other projects as required.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
- CPA designation or actively pursuing the CPA designation.
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience with Sage/Accpac or a similar ERP system.
- Exposure to forecasting, cash flow management, or consolidation reporting.
- Power BI experience is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
